No Bones About That!

Haven't written lately because I've been too busy trying to destroy bones in my body. As Robin mentioned in her blog, I broke my rib down at her house - just trying to be a good Mom and Grandma - I was putting Lilly in her crib for nighttime and because I'm just a little short, the rail of the crib plus her activity center pushed into my rib. I could feel that it hurt but didn't think anything of it until every move I made and every breath I took caused a sharp pain that wouldn't go away. So xrays confirmed what I already knew, a nondisplaced fracture of the distal 8th rib. My bones have decreased so much that it doesn't take much. I just had my bone density done - and come to think of it, last year right after I had my bone density done, I had two compression fractures of my back. I guess that the best preventative is not to have a bone density done.

I'm off to see my osteoporosis specialist tomorrow because of the recent events. So we'll see what else they will put me on or have me do.

I'm really tired of all this. It seems that every time I start getting ready to walk and be healthy again, something happens.

Oh well - sorry for complaining!!
